Hi! My name is Serge Sauvageau. I'm retired and I work with wood for fun.
See some of my projects below.

I came to the woodworking hobby late in life, in my early sixties, to prepare for retirement. I knew nothing about it. My professional life was spent entirely behind a desk, with no manual labor whatsoever. I remember about ten years ago, a pool installer asked me for a saw to remove a post; he was surprised to learn that the only tool I could offer was a handsaw, a gift from my father-in-law. Of course, today I have more saws, hand and electric, small and large, than fingers on both hands (and yes, I still have all my fingers...). These saws were essential, because what is woodworking if not cutting pieces of wood before joining them together again in a different configuration? Finally, I can aim to achieve the old goal: "Seek peace, mind your own business, work with your hands..." 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
